To provide students for employment in the aviation field. The course covers fundamentals of flight, flight operations, aviation weather, performance and navigation.

17813 – Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)

Grades 11-12 – 1 Credit
Prerequisite – Aviation I
Delivery – Online

This course will introduce you to the emerging and growing career field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Through a partnership with SkySkopes, a professional UAS flight operator based out of Grand Forks, the new course blends online curriculum with simulations and hands-on labs, and preparing for the Part 107 FAA certification.
